Responsibilities
- Understand automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models; inspecting automobiles.
- Develops buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers; suggesting trade-ins; greeting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; recommending sales campaigns and promotions.
- Qualifying buyers by understanding buyers' requirements and interests; matching requirements and interest to various models; building rapport.
- Demonstrate automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities and features; taking drives; explaining warranties and services.
- Closes sales by overcoming objectives; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales documents; explaining provisions; explaining and offring warranties, services and financing; collects payment; detailed delivery of automobile.
- Provides information to sales management by completing reports.
- Updates job and product knowledge as required by manufacturer and Vardaman Honda.
- Communicates professionally and provides updates on customer interests and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience is highly preferred.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must stay current with various training and certification requirements of American Honda Motor Company, Inc. and Vardaman Honda, Inc.
- Must maintain clean cut professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
- Must be able to perform various computer access and functions used in the sales process.
- Must submit to and successfully pass a background and drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Must be able to work and function in a team environment.
Service Technician

Responsibilities
- Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventative maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
- Maintains functional condition by listening to customer complaints and review Service Advisor notes; conducing inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs in the Reynolds & Reynolds system.
- Keeps shop equipment in pristine condition by following operating and safety instructions at all times.
- Updates job and product knowledge as required by American Honda Motor Company, Inc. and Vardaman Honda, Inc.
- Communicates professionally and provides updates on customer repairs as needed to Service Advisors and the Parts Department.
- All other duties assigned.

Business Office Clerk

- Develops an understanding of the automobile business becoming familiar with the functions of the dealership: sales, vehicle service and parts departments.
- Develops business by maintaining good rapport with customers that you will come in contact with daily.
- Must be accounting literate and become familiar with the various systems in use.
- Must be computer-literate and be able to work with various tasks that are used in the day to day conduct of the company's business.
- Must have a pleasant telephone voice to direct telephone calls to various individuals and departments.
- Must be able to handle credit card transactions as well as cash transactions.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-moving environment. Must be able to follow detailed instructions well.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a dealership environment is a plus.
